When is the best time to packraft in the Müllerthal?
Packrafting in the Müllerthal can be done almost year-round, provided the water level is below 56 cm. Also, the Sûre is closed to the public during the breeding season (February through May). In the other months you can enjoy all the beauty the Müllerthal region has to offer. In summer, the forests are green and the streams, rivers, waterfalls and natural springs offer wonderful refreshment. In autumn you can also enjoy hiking and rafting. The fresh green leaves slowly fade to the most beautiful shades of yellow, red and orange, and the weather is a lot cooler. Winter adventures are not excluded, but do require more preparation and experience because of the cold. This is why we organize our trails from June through October.
