We welcome you to our brand-new basecamp in the enchanting Müllerthal (Luxembourg) ! The starting and finishing point of every trail. Located on a campsite that is fully equipped and surrounded by nature. The perfect place to start your adventure with breakfast, relax on returning from your trail and spend the night.
Our rangers will provide you with clear instructions on your equipment and the route and will be on hand throughout the day with any questions.

The 2-day trail includes an overnight stay at our basecamp. Go for convenience and choose to stay in a equipped Basic or Glamping tent. Or would you rather pitch your own tent? The choice is yours!
Do you go Back to Basic or do you prefer camping in luxury? The Basic tents are equipped with sleeping mats and a camping seat. The Glamping tents are equipped with a comfortable bed including duvet and pillow, table with chairs, crockery and a cool box. The perfect place to retreat and relax.

Expedition Foodpack
To ensure adequate nutrition for your complete 2-day trail, add the Expedition Foodpack to your booking. It includes a delicious fresh breakfast, various snacks, energy bars and healthy freeze-dried adventure meals for lunch on the way and as an evening meal. Do you have dietary requirements or allergies? Let us know and we will adjust your foodpack accordingly.
Practical info
THE 2-DAY TRAIL ~ FROM 129 EURO
On day 1 of your trail, our ranger will start at 9am with a briefing on the route and packraft equipment. From 9.30am, you will set off independently and navigate the trail easily on your phone. Take your time to experience the adventure at your own pace and enjoy every moment!
On day 2, you start the day with a delicious breakfast (incl. with foodpack) and leave whenever you want. Keep in mind that the average duration of the trail, including breaks, is about 6 hours. You will be back at basecamp by 6pm at the latest to hand in your gear and share your experiences with us! 😃

FAQ
Yes, that is possible! You can book an extra night prior to your trail including breakfast. We welcome you at basecamp between 16.00 and 18.00 the day before your trail. The next morning you will enjoy a nice fresh breakfast so you can start your adventure full of energy.
We welcome anyone with good physical health and fitness. Some experience of hiking with a backpack and a swimming certificate is required. You will have plenty of time to cover the trail at your own pace, take breaks and enjoy the breathtaking scenery.
Certainly! Our experienced rangers will give you detailed instructions on the trail and your packraft equipment. These are not technical routes over water. Besides, you have complete freedom to follow the trail at your own pace and pause whenever you want.
Only a good physical condition, a swimming certificate and some hiking experience with a backpack is required.
Once you arrive at the water, it is very easy to inflate the packraft using the specially designed air bag. By scooping air into the bag and emptying it into the raft, similar to a fat boy air chair, you effortlessly inflate the packraft. About 8 to 10 full air bags are needed to fully inflate the packraft. After paddling a beautiful trail across the water, you exit the water at the designated point. Upon opening the valve, the air quickly drains out of the packraft, after which you can roll it up and stow it back in your backpack.
No. What makes our concept so special is that you can have your adventure independently. We provide the complete packraft equipment, the necessary instructions, the route for on your phone, an Expedition Foodpack (=optional) and a place to sleep.
Whether you go alone, with your partner, friends, colleagues or family, you have the freedom to follow the trail at your own pace with your own travelling companions.
For sure! Families with children are most welcome. The minimum age for participation in our packraft trails is 12 years.
Please note! Participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied and responsible by a parent or an adult supervisor to follow the trails. A swimming certificate is compulsory for everyone.
Absolutely! We have carefully selected safe routes. You will set off on your own only after receiving a clear briefing. During the briefing, packrafting equipment is fully explained, including the required safety instructions. The packraft equipment is of very high quality material.
If you have any questions during the trail, our rangers are always available by phone to support and help you. Your safety and comfort are our top priority.

Our packrafts are designed for individual use. With enough space for you (+ possibly your dog) and your rucksack, our packrafts are perfectly tailored to your adventure needs. Easily manoeuvrable and lightweight.
Sometimes the weather can be unpredictable, but we are well prepared! If the water level in the Sauer river is too low or too high for rafting, we move the trail to the Eifel in Germany. This way, we make sure your packraft adventure always continues. If a relocation is required, you will receive notification via email and WhatsApp no later than 1 days prior to your trail.
You bet! It is no problem for us to adapt your Expedition Foodpack to a vegetarian or vegan variant. We are also happy to make the fresh breakfast vegetarian or vegan for you. Even if you have special dietary requirements or allergies, we will gladly adjust your foodpack accordingly.
Let us know your dietary preferences by adding a comment to your booking. We will then make sure your Expedition Foodpack is ready.
For charging your phone and powerbank, there is a central USB hub at basecamp. Use of this is free of charge! Would you prefer your own power point at your tent for e.g. cooling a cooler? We can arrange it! Simply add the power point to your booking.

Your day starts with a briefing by one of our rangers at basecamp, where we explain the route and your packraft equipment. Then you’re all set to go! You leave with just your backpack, which contains your packraft, paddles, water, food for the day and spare clothes. All your other belongings can be safely left in your tent at basecamp.
You start with a hike of several kilometres. You can easily follow the route via an app on your phone. Once you arrive at the river, inflate your packraft and continue the trail across the water. Take time to stop at scenic spots and enjoy a well-deserved lunch. Once back at basecamp, relax with a hot shower, a nice meal or BBQ and a cosy drink with marshmallows by the campfire.
The origins of packrafting are in Alaska, where packrafts are mainly used to cross large waterways during wilderness adventure hikes. An ultralight raft that fits easily into a backpack, or packraft, makes the adventure extra comfortable!
No, staying overnight is done at our basecamp. Basecamp serves as both the starting point and end point of all trails.
You have the choice of bringing your own tent and sleeping gear or staying in one of our brand new Basic tents at basecamp. The Basic tents are equipped with sleeping mats and a camping seat.
As little as possible… 😉 10 days before the start of your adventure, we’ll send you a handy packing list of essential items, including:
- Sturdy hiking boots
- Comfortable clothes
- Water bottle or water bag
- Sunscreen
- And, of course, good spirits 😀
You will only carry your waterproof backpack containing your packraft, paddles, swimming vest (together about 6.5 kg), food, water and spare clothing. In total, your backpack will weigh about 8.5 kg.
Don’t worry, our basecamp is easily accessible by all means. Relax and enjoy your journey. We are ready to welcome you to our basecamp in the beautiful Müllerthal!
Travelling by car?
Our basecamp is very easy to reach by car. You can park your car for free and easily next to the basecamp.
Travelling by train?
Fantastic! Great for the environment 😀 You can travel to Müllerthal by train and bus. From the bus station it is only a 5-minute walk to our basecamp.
Absolutely! If your dog is sufficiently athletic and can walk about 14 km a day AND loves water, he will absolutely have the time of his life! Your dog should sit or lie between your legs when you are in the raft. It is compulsory to put shoes on your dog to prevent the nails from damaging the raft. You can bring these yourself or rent them from us for €5 per day.
Please note! Bring your own tent as dogs are not allowed in our tents.
